Objective
To investigatethe application effect of cardiac rehabilitation nursing combined with noninvasive ventilation in elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) andleft heart failure.
Methods
A total of 110 elderly patients with COPD and left heart failure who were admitted to our hospital from March 2019 to May 2021 were enrolled and divided into observation group and control groupusing a random number table, with 55 patientsin each group. The patients in the control group received noninvasive ventilation and routine nursing, and those in the observation group received cardiac rehabilitation nursing in addition to the treatment in the control group. The intervention effectwas compared between the two groups.
Results
The observation group had a significantly better nursing effect than the control group (98.18%
vs
78.18%,
P
<0.05). After intervention, there were significant differences between the two groups in the scores of cardiacfunction, exercise tolerance, and quality of life (
P
<0.05).
Conclusion
For the patients with COPD and left heart failure, cardiac rehabilitation nursing combined with noninvasive ventilation can significantly improve their cardiac function and exercise tolerance.
