Abstract: The Sirtuin family is a group of important functional proteins in the human body, and the role of Sirt2 protein remains unclear; however, in recent years, studies have been conducted to investigate the structure and function of Sirt2 protein and have basically clarified its important mechanism of action at the cellular level and the metabolic level. The abnormal expression of Sirt2 may induce or aggravate cardiovascular diseases. This article analyzes the mechanism of action of Sirt2 and its role in pathology and summarizes the latest research advances for further clinical application, so as to provide new ideas for the diagnosis and treatment of related cardiovascular diseases.
