Abstract: Objective To investigate the rehabilitation effect of walking training in patients with lower limb arteriosclerosis obliterans(ASO). Methods A total of 59 patients with Fontaine stage II-III ASO who underwent surgical treatment in Department of Vascular Surgery in our hospital from July 2020 to July 2022 were enrolled and randomly divided into control group with 30 patients (without regular walking training) and experimental group with 29 patients (regular progressive walking training), andthe two groups were compared in terms of the improvement inclaudication distance, ankle-brachial index (ABI),body mass index(BMI), and blood lipids after 6 months. Results There was no significant difference in the composition ratio of patients with different Fontaine stages between the two groups (P>0.05). Compared with the control group, the experimental group had significant improvements in claudication distance, ABI, and BMI after 6 months of training (P<0.05), and there was no significant difference in blood lipids between the experimental group and the control group due to the difference in blood lipid examination and the administration of lipid-lowering drugs (P>0.05). Conclusion Walking training can significantly improve BMI, ABI of bilateral limbs, and claudication distance in patients with Fontaine stage II-IIIASO, which provides a practical, simple, and economicalrehabilitation method for ASO patients.
