Effect of psychological nursing combined with health education on preoperative stress in patients with hypertension and fracture

Abstract: Objective To investigate the effect of psychological nursing combined with health education on patients with hypertension and fracture. Methods A total of 108 patients with hypertension and fracture who were treated in our hospital from October 2020 to December 2021 were enrolled and divided into control group (54 patients receiving routine nursing) and observation group (54 patients receiving psychological nursing combined with health education) using the envelope random method. The two groups were compared in terms of preoperative stress indicators, unhealthy emotion score, and incidence rate of complications. Results Compared with the control group, the observation group had significantly lower blood pressure and heart rate after nursing (P<0.05), as well as significantly lower unhealthy emotion score and incidence rate of complications (P<0.05). Conclusion Psychological nursing combined with health education is feasible and practical in patients with hypertension and fracture and can help to alleviate preoperative stress and improve unhealthy emotion, with few complications.
