Objective To investigate the current status of knowledge, attitudes and health behaviors of atrial fibrillation (AF) among community residents, to explore influencing factors, and to analyze association among them. Methods A self-designedquestionnaire was used to investigate the knowledge, attitudes and health behaviors of AF among 240 community residents by convenience sampling method. Results The scores of knowledge, attitudes and health behaviorsof AF were (96.16±16.36) (27-135), (28.30±2.93) (9-45) and (30.04±6.86) (10-50), respectively. Univariate analysis showed that there was a significant difference on the total knowledge scores among community residents with different ages, education level, marital status, occupation and monthly family income (P<0.05);Women and participants with the prevention of chronic diseases in daily life had more positive attitudes towards AF (P<0.05);There was a significant differenceon the total score of health behaviorsamong community residents with different educational level, monthly family income and prevention of chronic diseases(P<0.05);Pearson correlation analysis showed that there was a significant positive correlation between knowledge and health behaviorsof AF (r=0.337, P=0.000). Conclusion The community residents' knowledge, attitudes and health behaviors of AF are at the middle level. The community should further carry out healthy education about AF.
